In Veracruz you’ll find many options for recreation and entertainment, such as swimming resorts, where you can have fun with the whole family. You can also visit an aquarium that has the largest shark tank in Latin America. As the day winds down you can take a trolley ride.

Balneario Mocambo. Located at Playas de Mocambo, in Boca del Rio’s La Boticaria neighborhood. This swimming resort has a trailer park, an Olympic-size pool, wading pools, dressing rooms, showers, lounge chairs and much more.

Acuario de Veracruz. Located inside the Plaza Acuario mall on Blvd. Manuel Avila Camacho. This place has various tanks and small aquariums with a wide variety of fish, turtles and coral. It also has the largest saltwater tank in Latin America, which contains sharks, stingrays and turtles. Open Monday through Thursday from 10:00 to 7:00 and Friday through Sunday from 10:00 to 7:30.

Trolley Tour. This trolley tour departs from the train station. They are replicas of the trolley cars used for public transportation at the beginning of the 20th century. The tour allows you to appreciate the beauty of the city as it runs along the boardwalk and Blvd. Manuel Avila Camacho.

Parque Reino Magico. Located on Salvador Diaz Miron Street, at the corner of Calzada Armada de Mexico. This recreational park, which covers an area of 1,500 meters (4,950 feet), has swimming pools, a man-made waterfall, suspended bridges, water slides, rides for children and miniature golf, among other attractions. Open Tuesday through Sunday from 10:00 to 6:00.
