In San Luis Potosi’s surrounding areas you’ll find fascinating nature areas with springs and waterfalls. Near these natural attractions you can go camping at sites that offer restrooms, food and security service.

Laguna de Media Luna (Half Moon Lagoon). Located 120 km (74 mi) east of San Luis Potosi. This is the city’s most important water source. It has six springs with clear waters and an average water temperature of 27º to 30º C (81º to 86º F). At this place you can go camping on the shore of the lagoon or at the Centro de Buceo (Diving Center). Here you can enjoy gorgeous natural scenery in an environment with abundant wildlife.

Cascada de Tamul. Lies 277 km (172 mi) east of San Luis Potosi, off Highway 70. Here you’ll find designated camping areas near a waterfall that is formed by the waters of the Gallinas and Santa Maria rivers.
