EcoAlberto
– Located 85 km
(53 mi) northwest

km (7 mi) from
the town
of Ixmiquilpan,

Ixmiquilpan-Chilcuatla
Highway. This
park has various
routes that
are ideal for
rappelling, including a 30-meter
(100-foot) cliff
of intermediate
difficulty level.
El Chico
National Park
– Located 24 km
(15 mi) north of
Pachuca, south of
the town
of Mineral del Chico.
Here you’ll
find 20- to
23-meter (65- to 76-foot)
cliffs for
rappelling and
rock climbing. You
can hire guides
and rent
equipment in Pachuca.
Huasca de Ocampo
– Located 29 km
(18 mi) northeast
of Pachuca, off
Highway 105. This
is a magical
town surrounded
by forests. The
ex-mining haciendas
of San Miguel Regla and Santa
Maria Regla, which
have been
converted into
magnificent hotels,
serve as a base to
go hiking
among incredible
natural scenery,
such as the
basaltic rock formations
