Most of Mazatlan’s beaches are ideal for kayaking due to the excellent water conditions. Professional guides and rental companies will see to it that you have a safe adventure. Be sure to visit the following places:

Playa Gaviotas. Located 60 km (37 mi) north of Mazatlan in the heart of the Zona Dorada. It has a long stretch of smooth white sand.  The blue waters and moderate waves at this beach are ideal for kayaking. What’s more, guides will take you through the mangroves where you can observe a wide array of exotic plant and animal species.

Playa Venados. Located 2 km (1.2 mi) west of Mazatlan on Venados Island. You can arrive at this small beach by kayak, departing from Mazatlan. The 30-minute trip allows you to take in beautiful scenery while paddling across calm waters..
