Loreto is a good location for fishing thanks to its warm waters, which are inhabited by a wide variety of fish species.

Juncalito – Located 24 km (15 mi) south of Loreto, off Highway 1. Off the coast of this small community you can catch dorado and sailfish.

Bahia de Loreto Marine Park – Located off the coast of Loreto. This marine park covers 206,580 hectares (508,474 acres), which includes the islands of Coronado, Montserrat, El Carmen, Danzante and Santa Catalina. Off this extensive coastline you can catch such species as dorado, grouper, bass, roosterfish and sardines..
