In Loreto’s surrounding areas you’ll find various beaches with fine sands and calm waters, making them the ideal places for camping outings.

Juncalito. Located 24 km (15 mi) south of Loreto, off Highway 1. In this town you’ll find nearly desolate beaches with fine sand. The gorgeous scenery makes it the perfect spot for camping.

El Vizcaino Biosphere Reserve. Lies more than 200 km (124 mi) north of Loreto, off Highway 1. This ecological reserve, which covers about 2.5 million hectares (5.4 million acres), offers beaches, salt marshes, sand dunes, mountains and volcanic rock formations. At this reserve you’ll find sites with optimal conditions for camping. Here you can observe wildlife in a safe and comfortable atmosphere.

Bahia Concepcion (Concepcion Bay). Located 97 km (60 mi) northwest of Loreto, off Highway 1.  – At this bay you’ll find various beaches with fine sand, which are ideal for camping in front of the calm waters of the Sea of Cortez.
