Most of the celebrations that take place in Cuernavaca are of a religious nature. Among the most important festivities, which usually feature fairs, fireworks shows and dance performances, are El Dia de San Antonio, held on June 13 in the San Antonio neighborhood; La Fiesta de Nuestra Señora de los Milagros, which takes place in Tlaltenango on Sept. 8; and the Virgin of Guadalupe Day, celebrated on Dec. 12. Cuernavaca also hosts important fairs, such as the Primavera (Spring Fair), which is held in March and April. This fair offers cultural and artistic events, as well as crafts and flower expositions..
