The city of
Aguascalientes offers diverse parks where families can have a
learning experience and enjoy nature. You can also visit swimming
resorts, which are both traditional and entertaining.
Parque El Cedazo – Located on Blvd. Aguascalientes Oriente.
Among this park’s main attractions is a small dam, which has three
manmade islands that draw many migratory birds. The park also offers
workshops for children, such as painting, piano and dance classes.
Open Tuesday through Sunday from 6:00 to 6:00.
Parque Ecologico Rodolfo Landeros Gallegos – Located on Blvd.
Jose Maria Chavez. Here you can take a ride through the park on the
so-called moto-train. You can also take out eco-friendly vehicles,
visit the open-air theater, go skating and check out the botanical
garden. Open Tuesday through Sunday from 9:00 to 6:00.
Parque Infantil Miguel Hidalgo – Located on the corner of Av.
Adolfo Lopez Mateos and Poder Legislativo. This 5-hectare park has a
green area with ash trees, poplars, laurels, eucalyptuses and other
trees and plants. It also has a manmade lake, a children’s play area,
a skating track and a scenic train ride. Open daily from 7:00 to
7:00.
Balneario y Centro Deportivo Ojocaliente – Located at Km 1 on
the Aguascalientes-San Luis Potosi Highway. This resort has a
swimming pool, an Olympic-size pool, a water slide and saunas. Also
of interest are the swimming pools with thermal waters, which range
in temperature from 36º to 40º C (97º to 104º F). Thermal waters are
known as a treatment to help blood circulation and rheumatic
illnesses. Open daily from 7:00 to 7:00.
Baños Termales de Ojocaliente – Located at 102 Av.
Tecnologico. This was one of the city’s first swimming resorts. This
spot has a patio area with swimming pools of various sizes, wading
pools and private Roman-style baths. The resort also offers
medicinal therapies. Open daily from 7:00 to 6:00..
