For those looking for
sports events and entertainment options, Acapulco has something to
cater for all ages, including a convention center, excellent sports
facilities, and La Quebrada, a world-famous site where cliff divers
take a 35-meter (115-foot) plunge into the ocean below. At night,
torches illuminate the grounds as the divers plummet into the dark
waters. Without a doubt, La Quebrada is one of the port city’s most
visited tourist attractions.
La Quebrada – Located on Lopez Mateos Avenue and Plazoleta La

am and repeat every hour. At night, you can watch the divers from
7:30 to 10:30.
Centro Cultural y de Convenciones de Acapulco – The largest
convention and expo center in the country, which can hold up to

Abierto Mexicano de Tenis – The Mexican tennis open is one of
the most awaited sports events of the year. Some of the best tennis
players in the world compete in the tournament. Takes place in
February in the Punta Diamante zone.
Tianguis Turistico – This tourist event began in Acapulco
several years ago and has become world famous. It is Mexico’s and
Latin America’s most important show to promote tourism. The annual
fair is held at the Acapulco Convention Center.
Acafest – One of Mexico’s most popular musical showcases. The
annual music festival, a weeklong event, offers the best in Mexican
and international pop and rock. The event is held on several beaches
and at the Acapulco Cultural Center.
